How To Make A Christmas Elf
With a Pool Noodle
Supplies
Before getting started, here’s what ya need:
- Pool noodle
- Kids Shoes
- Packing Tape
- Scissors
- Small Kids Shoes
- Elf hat
- Elf Shoe Covers
Step 1
Get your pool noodle and bend it in half. If you’re going to make both a shorter and a taller one, like I did, you’ll need a total of 3 pool noodles.
For the taller elf, tape together 2 pool noodles and cut off any excess to achieve the desired height. I cut about 10 or 11 inches off.
Step 2
I found these cute striped knee socks on Amazon, and they worked out perfectly.
Step 3
I recently cleaned out my kids’ closets and saved 2 pairs of shoes that no longer fit them. For reference, the shoes I used are size 6 and size 10 for toddlers.
Step 4
The elf shoe covers are an old DIY. I used to make them for my daughter when she was in daycare. She’d wear the cutest tutu elf dresses and I’d make these to cover her shoes.
Don’t worry, though, because I found some cute elf shoe covers you can purchase online!
Step 5
Add your elf hat, and you’re done! These elf hats come in a pack of 3 and are reversable, so you can choose to show either the red side or the green side.
There you have it! A cute Christmas DIY.
This project is so fun and a great DIY to do with your kids or the little ones in your family.
Tag me on socials @casa_anguiano if you make them for yourself! I’d love to see your creation!
