Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to get creative with your home decor! From spooky wreaths to carved pumpkins, there’s no shortage of fun ideas to get your home ready for the season. But if you’re looking for a cute (and slightly spooky) DIY project that’s simple and budget-friendly, I got you! Drumroll, please… DIY Ghost Children made from pool noodles!

Yes, you read that right—pool noodles aren’t just for swimming! This easy-to-make craft will add some adorable ghostly charm to your Halloween decor, and the best part is, they’re super inexpensive and you can create as many as you’d like. This is one of my favorite DIYs, and every time I post them on social, they go viral! I’m telling you, they’re just too adorable not to make.

How to Make the Cutest DIY Ghost Children Using a Pool Noodle

Supplies

Before getting started on this super cute DIY ghost decoration, here’s what you’ll need:

• 3 pool noodles (if you’re going to make 2 ghosts)
• A tablecloth (or an old sheet)
• Toddler size pants
• Small kids shoes
• Trick or treat pail (these target ones are $1)
• Packing Tape
• Scissors
• Black felt
• Glue dots
• S hook or you can also use a zip tie

Step 1

Grab a pool noodle and bend it in half. If you’re making both a shorter and taller ghost like I did, you’ll need 3 pool noodles.

For the taller ghost, tape 2 noodles together, then trim off the extra length to get the height you want. I ended up cutting about 10 or 11 inches. Once you’re happy with the height, tape the pieces together.

Step 2

Next, slip your toddler pants over the pool noodles like you’re dressing them up!

Step 3

When picking out shoes, go for something with a little weight to it. That’ll help keep your ghost steady and prevent it from tipping over.

For reference, the shoes I used are size 6 and size 10 for toddlers.

Step 4

Now it’s time to drape your tablecloth or sheet over your ghost! When cutting the felt for the eyes, go for an oval shape instead of round to nail that ghostly vibe. Then, use glue dots or any adhesive you prefer to stick the eyes on.

Step 5

Add a cute bow, grab a trick-or-treat pail, and guess what? You’re all done!

Consider layering different textures to add even more interest. These textured layers not only create an inviting and relaxing space, they instantly elevate the room. 

4. Dried Florals or Faux Stems

Dried florals are timeless. The colors and textures bring nature indoors.  

Faux stems are also a great choice and require no maintenance. Another plus is they can last for years. Since they come in a variety of colors and styles, it gives you a ton of decorating possibilities.

We all know getting the meal cooked for this day requires your full attention in the kitchen, so a table setting that you can put together quickly is so important.

You can create several table settings, from a basic table setting to a five-course setting. For this one, we wanted a casual and relaxed feel – a setting that feels warm and inviting.

Easy Thanksgiving Table Decor

1. Tablecloth

A tablecloth will not only protect your table, it’ll instantly make your table feel dressed up. I used this solid tablecloth from target.

Here’s a pretty option from Amazon available on prime!

2. Table Runner

This chiffon table runner is so pretty and delicate. The one I used is 29 x 120 inches which drapes on the sides, if you have guests sitting at the ends of the table simply tie a pretty knot.

3. Centerpiece

These mini bud vases come in a set of 5 and they’re all varying shapes and sizes. You can use them in your centerpiece and throughout the year! They’d look really cute on shelves styled together or separately. You can also use them on a side table, or nightstand, they’d look beautiful anywhere you style them.

These candlesticks are so pretty in person. They can also be used year-round which is great! Another way you can style these after using them for Thanksgiving is on your mantle.

Next is the taper candles. I love using different colors depending on the color scheme of the table setting. The ones I used are from Target and are no longer available but I found a similar option above.

4. Placemats

The placemats I used are no longer available but I found similar ones for you!

These placemats have over 15k reviews and it says they can be machine washed in a laundry bag!

5. Dinnerware

When I tell you I love these dishes, I love these dishes! They are super pretty, look expensive, and are such good quality. Also, they’re melamine so perfect for everyday use as well.

6. Flatware and Cloth Napkins

If you’re looking to invest in a good flatware set, here’s a set that is classic and timeless.

These napkins come in a set of 12 and can be for everyday use as well. The description says that they are wrinkle-resistant, but in my experience, you need to steam them.

7. Drinkware

Another favorite of mine is these glasses! Not only do they have beautiful detail they’re of amazing quality. Use these as your water glasses in your table setting and also for everyday use. Don’t worry, they’re dishwasher safe and have a good weight to them.

I love these wine glasses. Their square shape makes them look modern, sophisticated, and very elegant!

If you prefer a stemless wine glass these are gorgeous! The ribbed glass plus the gold rim make a beautiful pairing. Love these!

Hey, friends! I hope you’re having an amazing day! I spent the weekend catching up on laundry, always fun right? Said no one ever! 🙂 I feel laundry is one of those things that I’ll never fully catch up on although sometimes I think I still have a chance lol.

Today I’m sharing with you how I put together this beautiful Fall Tablescape. It’s simple, elegant, and comes together so easily. Most of the items used are neutrals so they can be carried over into your Christmas decor! One of the many reasons I love neutrals 🙂

Fall has officially taken over and I’m not mad about it! I love neutrals so I typically stay away from the bright oranges or yellows. I think this tablescape is probably my favorite Fall one I’ve created to date. I love how the colors compliment each other so well. I tend to keep things simple but cute because I think less is more.
